We
have been talking about entrepreneurship here all the way and I know a
question someone would ask is “Is it all about self-employment?". My
answer - NO. It isn't all about being your own boss, but about being the
best at what you do.
The
Holy book encourages us to be the best when it says “whatever your hand
finds to do, do it with all your might, strength and heart".
It
isn't your cast in the play, position in the establishment or role in
the project; what is most important is diligence. Remember, “...he that
is faithful in which that is little, much will be committed to his
hands".
A
small play group own a small playhouse for their short plays and shows.
A young man was saddled with the responsibility of opening and shutting
the doors before and after rehearsals or shows - he keeps the keys to
the doors, a job he does diligently; his role might seem negligible, but
his absence results in a "no-show-day". The entrance of the superstars
to the sparkling light rests in his hands. Some one says "he will be fired",yes, he may be fired, but
the show is the first to bear the brunt. Little or nobody knows the
"dude" holding the keys to your dressing room, so you have the burning
of the fire first on your head.
What
degree of importance do you place yourself and your role? This will
help build your self-esteem and creates more opportunities to serve in
better capacities.
It
doesn’t matter how little or much the commendations you get when the
job is done; the most important thing is THE JOB HAS BEEN DONE WELL.
I
leave you with the words of Albert Einstein "...we have to do the best
we can. This is our sacred human responsibility...", and H. Jackson
Brown, "...the best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today...".
Have the best week ever!!!
