Hello Subs! Happy September!
Today's article will be short, so short, it's a follow up on last week's post on (Self Medication). I didn't plan for the follow up,
but I just thought it is necessary.
I almost lost someone so dear as a result of Self
Medication, he practically has one-third "share" in my Medical School
journey. I never even expected it to happen to him because he is one of the few
people I know who will not take drugs because someone other than a health
professional said it works.
He was "told" to use
Flagyl because he complained of diarrhea, but wasn't told how. So, he
"overdosed" on "an empty stomach". He apparently didn't
want to "bother me". Thank God for people around him when he slumped. He
spent so much on hospital bills, aside other expenses,
pain and inconveniences.
Please, let this be a lesson for us, be careful, and don't be too in a hurry to get well and resolve to swallowing some pills that may complicate the matter.
I pray, again, for long life in awesome health for us all.
And, oh, he is doing great now.
Thanks for asking (*wink*).
Yours,
Dr. 'Lara
