7 KEEPs to keep Your DREAMS ALIVE

Did you recently quit your job to start your own business? Or you are a recent graduate pursuing your passion?

Now the journey begins, you will need to overcome the obstacles that will inevitably come your way. Sooner or later, you'll either talk yourself out of it, or you will have others do it on your behalf.

You aren't the first; and believe it, you won't be the last either. The difference between those who succeed and those who fail (completely) is the ‘MENTAL ALERTNESS’ of what they are likely to feel, meet and see along this journey.  Many meet these mountains unexpectedly and they marvel and some met obstacles prepared in their minds to solve the puzzles no matter how many pieces they have.

To go by, I will drop "7 KEEPs' to keep your dreams alive"

 #1: KEEP Your goals written
We most of the time are content to let our deepest desires exist in vague form. We fail to make them specific, write them down, and give them a timeline. People who survive disappointment(s) know that clear goals provide a path to achieving their dreams. Creating this road-map ahead of time allows them to get back on track when they lose their way or get discouraged because of disappointment.

#2: KEEP positive people around you.
Nothing magnifies disappointment more than being surrounded by naysayers. They talk you down, they blame you for your mistakes, they nail you for your sins, they cast you for your wrong doing, and they keep pointing to you what you've done wrong and not showing you the possible way to get out the mess. So if you want to survive that disappointment and forge ahead to pursue your dream, you need more positive people, people that will show you what to do next, people will can talk you to stand back on your feet, those who will make you seek a way out and a take the way up.

 #3: KEEP Experimenting
Look at failure as finding another way to succeed, not a dead-end. There’s an endless number of ways to find the solution to your struggles, your mission is to experiment these hypotheses in the shortest amount of time possible. At the end you become a better person and you have a better way of doing things.

#4: KEEP Playing a bigger game than you.
Many of us stops as soon as we get to a stage of a game we find so difficult, or we keep playing that cheap stage that we already mastered, you will only be good at that stage and won't be better at bigger ones.

#5:  KEEP Comparing yourself to yourself
The only person you should become better than everyday is yourself. “Look in the mirror that’s your competition.” Stephen Richards said: “Stop comparing yourself with others. If they are good at something, you are good at something else. Self-confidence is not measured by your own capabilities versus that of others, but by your own needs.

#6: KEEP Persisting
Know that when things are at its worst, there will always be light at the end of that tunnel. Successful people know how to persist in a different way. They are willing to throw in the towel on a failing strategy but are unwilling to give up on the dream (as many others mistakenly do). They learn to pivot into new strategies for starting that business, getting that position and many more.

 #7: KEEP God
This may be placed on the last number but trust me, it's the most important.
The book of Deuteronomy 28 verse 1 says "And it shall come to pass, if thou shall hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God ...that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.
It (dream) only came to pass in Joseph's life because he kept God in his heart and did His will.
It shall only come to pass if you hearken diligently.

“Don’t let your dreams be dreams, KEEP your dreams ALIVE”
